Traditional Victorian Awning for Island Poké on Portobello Road
This recessed Traditional Victorian Awning has been installed within the fascia of the Island Poke House Restaurant in Portobello Road. A fresh Pacific blue fabric was selected as an appropriate fit for the atmosphere of this Hawaiian/Californian eatery.
Working drawings were provided to the client in advance, so that the appropriate Traditional Victorian Awning recess could be allowed for. What is Poke? Actually POH-keh – a Pacific rim concept for creating your own dish on a poke bowl from a wide variety of tasty ingredients.
The Victorian Awning – A Very British Awning
The Victorian Awning has long been regarded as an elegant and timeless solution to complete any shopfront or fascia. The Victorian is hand-crafted and its features include a classic hardwood housing, steel-forged arms and a specially developed weather-proof fabric covering. These features give the awning a traditional, yet robust quality which is much sought after across the world. The traditional awning is also extremely customisable and has been used in a broad range of applications to achieve a contrasting aesthetic.
