Sicilian Avenue has Fifty Shop Awnings Refurbished

Refurbishing Victorian Shop Awnings is a skilled process. With over 50 awnings dating back 100 years, it required all the expertise of The Original Victorian Company to rennovate these classic shop awnings to their former glory.

The renovation included replacing all of the worn out fabric and rollers, repairing the integral awning boxes and replacing all the new hardwood lathes with new lathes that had received a special six coats paint process matching the facades. The rare lattice action arms were painstakingly taken apart piece by piece, cleaned, treated and reassembled in our London workshop.

Sicillian Avenue is now home one of the best collections of working ‘Victorian Awnings’ in the Britain.
